Weekly Bible Insights from Myron Hodges Sunday School

This channel was born during the COVID-19 pandemic, when church doors closed across the nation—but the Word cannot be silenced! I’ve been passionate about teaching the Bible since 1988, when I began bringing my own Bible into correctional facilities—not as a chaplain, but as a man of faith, even while working as a correctional officer—moved to share the transformative power of Jesus with inmates.

My foundation in scripture deepened in 1996 through the teachings of Dr. J. Vernon McGee, who remains a daily influence. After retirement, I earned two degrees from the R.L Hennings School of Theology, and in 2021, I began reviewing official Church of God in Christ Sunday School lessons here on YouTube. I’ve also completed the Advanced Teacher’s Training Course for Sunday School educators.

This channel is more than a platform—it’s a calling. With over 20,880 subscribers, I give God all the glory.

Our Calling and Journey Shared

Brother Hodges began teaching Scripture to inmates while serving as a correctional officer in 1988. Retirement opened the door to deeper theological study, and when churches closed during the pandemic, he launched this channel so no one would miss Sunday School. More than three hundred videos later, his weekly reviews reach believers on every continent, equipping pastors, teachers, and lifelong students with trustworthy commentary, historical background, and Spirit-led encouragement that illuminates each lesson’s relevance for modern discipleship around them today.

Partner in Global Outreach Today

Advertising once amplified our reach, placing reviews before seekers in dozens of nations, yet rising costs now limit that visibility. Financial gifts from viewers empower us to promote videos to new audiences who might never encounter a COGIC teacher. Every contribution goes toward ad campaigns, streaming tools, and transcription services that enhance accessibility. By partnering with this ministry, you become a messenger, extending the same practical, Bible-honoring instruction that strengthens you to brothers and sisters you may never meet today.
